One of my favourite Britpop bands in the mid-90s was Echobelly (with the gorgeous Sonya Aurora Madan on vocals).
And I love this song, Great Things – from the band’s second album, On - with its cheerful tune and lyrics full of hope and optimism.
This performance comes from a 2005 repeat of a one-off music special called Britpop Now, which I remember seeing when it originally aired on BBC2 in 1995 and which showcased around a dozen of the established and up-and-coming Britpop bands of the time.
