A Word From Our Sponsors… Heineken

Everyone who grew up in the 70s or 80s remembers Heineken lager’s highly-successful TV adverts.

The long-running series of commercials was based around the slogan “Heineken Refreshes The Parts Other Beers Cannot Reach”.

They typically showed people accomplish previously impossible tasks or improve themselves in various ways simply by taking a sip of the amber nectar (oops, wrong brand).

This, then, is probably the most famous of the campaign, a Pygmalion parody which also features an early reference to “street credibility”.
