Video Killed The Radio Star: Queen – Radio Ga Ga

No need for much of an introduction to this one.

It’s Queen‘s Radio Ga Ga, from the 1984 album The Works, with its video inspired by film director Fritz Lang‘s 1927 sci-fi classic Metropolis.

The song isn’t my favourite Queen track, not by a long shot, but it’s one of those songs that I do associate fondly with a particular stage in my life.

It also, of course, sparked those remarkable scenes at Live Aid in 1985, when Queen stole the show with their medley of songs and, most memorably, the entire crowd clapped along in unison to the chorus of Radio Ga Ga, just like the crowd in the video.

Vodpod videos no longer available.
