The Monday Movie – Clerks

This week, The Monday Movie presents a masterclass in customer service from Randal Graves (Jeff Anderson) in writer/director Kevin Smith‘s 1994 debut film Clerks, which he famously shot for $27,575 in the shop where he was working at the time.

First up, Randal graphically illustrates the potential pitfalls for customers who fail to properly research customer demographics of local businesses when choosing a store in which to buy a videotape for their child:

And here, Randal shows the importance of a thorough knowledge of store merchandise in building a pleasant rapport with customers, through the imparting of helpful advice:
