One of the all-time great theme tunes this week, from the 1970s British kids’ drama The Adventures of Black Beauty.
The TV series ran for two seasons (52 half-hour episodes) between 1972 and 1974 and was repeated frequently for the better part of two decades.
Set in Victorian era England, it was inspired by Anna Sewell’s 1877 novel rather than an adaptation of it, envisaged as a continuation of sorts to the book.
The famous, awesome theme tune, called Galloping Home, was written by Denis King and performed by the London String Chorale.
